The Weston Unit #4 project involved the installation of all insulation, lagging, and jacketing required for the balance of plant piping, equipment, and new 550-MW Toshiba steam turbine. APi Construction's piping scope included 86,000 LF of pipe insulation and jacketing as well as 52,000 SF of flatwork insulation and lagging on the equipment, fans, and ductwork. Under a separate contract, APi worked for Babcock & Wilcox Construction Company to insulate more than 440,000 SF of flatwork including a B&W supercritical coal-fired boiler, two B&W SCR's, two B&W SDA's, a B&W fabric filter, and the associated ductwork.
