APi supplied all the insulation, lagging, and pipe jacketing for this grassroots 450-MW coal-fired power plant. This project was unique due to its extremely remote location, which brought about difficulty attracting enough labor to work at this mid-desert project. Springerville is located near the Arizona-New Mexico border more than 200 miles from the nearest major metropolitan area. APi Construction relied heavily on our relationships with the leadership of the union internationals to hire more than 100 qualified craftsmen to complete this important project.
