Consumers Energy upgraded its 870-MW Foster Wheeler Unit #3 boiler at the Campbell Station by replacing some of the tube walls and penthouse equipment. APi removed approximately 100,000 SF of lagging and insulation in order to provide the Alstom boilermakers access to their work. Once the new walls and equipment were in place, APi reinstalled approximately 120,000 SF of insulation and lagging on the boiler walls, associated ductwork, and inside the boiler penthouse.
