APi installed all the insulation, lagging, and pipe jacketing required for the balance of plant piping, equipment, and Toshiba steam turbine-generator for this grassroots 850-MW. The scope included 48,000 LF of pipe insulation and jacketing, as well as 35,000 SF of flatwork insulation and lagging on the equipment. Under separate contracts, APi also insulated more than 800,000 SF of insulation and lagging on the new plant's flatwork which included an Alstom supercritical coal-fired boiler, SCR, baghouse, Howden fans, and the associated ductwork.
